This 2016 christmas advert for McDonald's follows a vintage doll named 'Juliette' who, after being ignored on the shelf for too long, decides to take matters into its own wooden hands & find a new home, starting off at the McDonald's outlet across the street. Of the different techniques used across two different ads to create Juliette, I was mainly in charge with compositing a CG creation of the doll into live-action plates or combining CG parts with the practical stand-in shot on set, including snow interaction with the ground. In addition some shots also required digimatte work involving adding or cleaning up snow coverage, and adding christmas ornaments into the background. |
